Operations Manager

About the Role

This is no desk-bound job. As Operations Manager, you'll be side-by-side with the team, supporting daily operations, managing logistics, and keeping everything moving – from helping fold linen during the rush to helping maintain equipment, office administration tasks and overseeing client relationships.

You’ll partner closely with the Director and our Production Manager to ensure seamless operations, a high-performing team, and a business that’s efficient, safe, and service-focused. Hours for this role are 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.


Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day operations: Manage production flow, staff rosters, and resource allocation
  • Problem-solver: Troubleshoot equipment, scheduling, and workflow issues quickly and effectively
  • People leadership: Mentor and manage a growing team, driving morale and productivity
  • Client care: Foster and grow strong customer relationships, old and new
  • Business insight: Monitor KPIs, track performance, and contribute to strategic improvements
  • Compliance focus: Lead a safety-first culture, ensuring WHS and regulatory compliance

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in an operations, production, or logistics leadership role
  • Strong administration skills and business judgement
  • Clear communicator with a collaborative, can-do leadership style
  • Practical mindset with attention to detail and high standards
  • Understanding of WHS standards and operational compliance
  • Hands-on, proactive attitude – no task too small
  • Experience in laundry, manufacturing, or similar industries (desirable)

What You’ll Need

  • Physical ability to meet the job’s manual handling requirements
  • Unrestricted driver’s licence (car); ability to drive small trucks if required
  • Work rights in Australia
  • Successful reference checks, police check, and pre-employment medical
  • Six-month probation period applies
