For more than 50 years, LVE has created meaningful and sustainable employment for people with disability through a genuine commercial operation, spanning business units including recycling, sign making, grounds maintenance and more. The Opportunity

At Latrobe Valley Enterprises, every commercial decision has the potential to create meaningful employment for people with disability. The Operations Leader plays a central role in making that happen.

This is not a desk-bound role. You'll be equally comfortable troubleshooting a rostering problem with a supervisor on the floor as you are presenting forecasts to the Board. Success comes from being visible across our sites, building trusted relationships with supervisors, employees, customers and partners, and knowing when to think strategically and when to roll up your sleeves.

Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, you'll lead the day-to-day performance of LVE's commercial business units, ensuring they run safely, efficiently and deliver strong commercial outcomes.

As Operations Leader, you will:

• Lead operational and commercial performance across LVE's business units, including budgets, business plans and safety
• Coach and develop operational leaders and supervisors, building capability and accountability across the business
• Build strong relationships with customers, commercial partners and stakeholders, and oversee delivery of contracts
• Contribute to organisational strategy as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, and help shape new services as LVE grows

About You

• An experienced operational leader with a track record across multi-site or multi-disciplinary operations
• Commercially minded, with experience managing budgets and improving business performance
• Practical and approachable, equally capable in a boardroom and on the floor
• Genuine in your care for people, while holding clear expectations and accountability

Employment Requirements

• Current unrestricted Victorian driver licence
• Ability and willingness to work regularly across LVE sites and travel independently as required
• National Police Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check, if required for the role
• Valid Australian working rights
